This year’s Haverhill Show opens again with an Act of Worship from Haverhill and District Churches Together, with a clear theme: clothe yourselves with kindness (cf. Colossians 3.12).
Join us at 10am for worship, preaching and prayer alongside Christians from around the town. Then find us at the Show where we will have a stall alongside many other local groups, charities and organisation. The Show is an opportunity to see how God blesses the community in Haverhill through the many wonderful people and activities going on.
With its message of kindness, we are using the Show to launch our Kindness Campaign. There will be posters up around the town, each one stewarded by its very own kindness kangeroo! Your task over the summer is to locate them all and record the names of all twelve kangaroos, read the inspiring stories on each poster, and pray for kindness in our community.
You can pick up your free kindness passport at the Show, or afterwards at St Mary’s Church on a Friday, or at the Link throughout the week. Show your completed passport at St Mary’s to collect your final kangaroo sticker.
We pray that Haverhill would know that we are God’s chosen, holy and beloved, through the acts of compassion, kindness, humility, meekness and patience which we show to one another.
