This Christmas, Churches Together are excited to be involved in Haverhill’s festive celebrations on the last weekend in November.
On Saturday 29th November, the town will gather for a day of festivities, including market stalls, fair, carnival, lights switch-on and fireworks. Churches Together will be offering lots of activities, centred on the theme: ‘Jesus, Light of the World’.
- 10am in St Mary’s Church: Lantern Making Workshop
- 11am in St Mary’s Churchyard: Nativity and Carols with the Haverhill Youth and Community Band
- 2pm in St Mary’s Church: Messy Church
- 4.30pm: Carnival including Banner and Lanterns from Churches Together
There will also be stalls on the High Street from River of Life Community Church and Helions Bumpstead Gospel Fellowship. Come and join in with the days activities!

There are lots of other things going on over the Christmas season, and your local churches would be pleased to welcome you. Here are some of the events taking place this year:
- Wednesday 3rd December at 7pm at St Mary’s Church: Civic Carol Service with St Mary’s Choir, Haverhill Silver Band, Samuel Ward Academy and the Haverhill Malayalee Association.
- Friday 5th to Sunday 7th December at Haverhill Salvation Army: Nativity Crib Festival, with 120 nativity scenes.
- Thursday 11th December at 7pm at St Mary’s Church: Christmas with Magic of Bublé, tickets available online.
- Saturday 13th December at 3pm at St Mary’s Church: Light Up a Life with St Nicholas Hospice Care, remembering loved ones this Christmas, register names online.
- Saturday 20th December at 3pm at Haverhill Methodist Church: Duggie Dug Dug’s Nativity Delivery, book via email.
- Christmas Day 25th December at 12.15pm at Haverhill Salvation Army: Christmas Lunch for those otherwise alone, book via phone.
