Churches Together are holding a vigil for peace following the outbreak of war in Ukraine, at St Mary’s Church on Market Square, at 6pm on Sunday 6th March. This is a space to pray, reflect, lament, question and hope, with a short service followed by time to spend in quiet, with people on hand to pray and stands where candles can be lit.
Monetary donations can be made via the Church of England’s Diocesan appeal in collaboration with World Vision. This goes to support displaced families in the region and is match funded by the government through the Disaster Emergency Committee. We are also working with Matilda Rose in Haverhill to collect material donations.
